Ok ok i admit it (Gaming related) Reply #16 – January 31, 2009, 07:21:15 AM Quote from: 20th anny 5.o;254581The point they are trying to get across is the fact that if console sales/Sony's Attitude doesn't improve it may be the next to fail console failure = No more games. Yes the D pad does suck hard core.Come on no more ps3 games LOL... They can stop making games today and I will still be happy with my PS3 just playing warhawk,resistance2,cod4. Not to meantion playing blu-ray movies, renting movies from the PS store, mp3s, hulu, youtube tv, and the nice photo software they just made available for making photo presentations.. If you seen a list of the features sony added to the PS3 since firmware 1.0 to 2.6 your jaw would drop. They have done so much cuting edge stuff with this console it will just continue to improve. Not to meantion free online play vs. xboxlive. How many updates does 360 put out throughout the last 3 years to give users added value to their customers? What new features did you get?How did this thread go from your not happy with your xbox to PS3 sucks? LOL Quote Selected

LOLQuote me where i said the Ps3 sucks i am just pointing out Sonys apparent bull headedness in not dropping the price of The PS3(And their sales falling because of this). People always bring up the Blu ray stuff dont care, (and yes i have a Vizio 32 inch 1080i HDTV). Secondly The PS3 scans disks much slower than the Xbox because the disks are 50 gigs, i believe the PS3 reads at about 2-3x.Thirdly i am not happy with my 360 doesnt mean i am going out right now to get a PS3 or that i will turn my back on it. If Sony ever gets over the fact that they bumbled the whole launch because they figured that they had a strong enough base to charge 600 (initially i believe) and actually drop the price yes i will buy one. I know very well that at the current price they are already losing about 100 -150 bucks on the consoles selling at 500 dollars. Quote Selected
Ok ok i admit it (Gaming related) Reply #18 – January 31, 2009, 12:17:07 PM Xbox 360 was over 500.00 for the elite at launch and that's the only xbox even comparable to the ps3.360's didn't even have HDMI in the original ones, nor did you get a built in movie drive(add on at 200+dollars and is now dead)and no wireless(another 100.00 add on).Seriously 360's as optioned out as the ps3 are where about 800.00 so where's the value????Advantage ps3!!!!!!!Ps3 prices have dropped and so have 360,s.elite's and ps3 are about the same price so where's the difference,oh yea the stuff i stated above still make the PS a better value.Yes i do have both consoles but only because the 360 is my kids and i've seen all the downfalls of the 360 from the get go but i didn't need another ps3. I think you have to own a PS3 to know how well Sony is doing or not doing with it. Watch out what you read on the net, alot of it is xbox fanboys at work trying to make there console look better. Not dropping price? My co-worker just got the 40GB one for ~$170.00 + shipping, thats right $170. Heres how: dell.com was offering 20% off the same time Sony ran a promo this past holiday season with $150 off first purchase with a sony credit card (0% intrest 12months no fee..)Granted the 20% dell discount was a loop hole, but they still offered it at $250 which is a good deal in my opinion. About Sony loosing money per unit and launch prices well that is kind of old (November 2006). I don't think the hardware sales are the driving force in how consoles make money. Its the software titles that will be doing that. About the blu-ray drive speed, I don't have any data on that or how it could affect performace so I can't comment on that. My games start just fine. I will leave you with this though: uncharted used up ~91% of the 50GB blu-ray disc how would a game like this be possible on the xbox with its 8.5 GB dvd drive? Games like gta4 had to be watered down because of the 360's limiting dvd drive. Microsoft screwed up when they didn't include a HD-DVD drive in ever xbox elite that might have helpped HD-DVD survive. Insteed the HD-DVD player was offered as another bulky add on, along with the over priced wifi adapter, and the small HD that wasn't user replacable. Quote Selected

I have no problems with this, hell i could have went and got a ps3 today to hold me over till my xbox returns but i opted for an exhaust setup for the 99. But i chose not to the Ps3 will be my next console especially if the xblox 360 red rings me again. Yes the HD DVD drive was a bungled filled mess. I dont use the wifi for just that reason, i am still wired. Oh and also on the point of paying for XBL i have no problem with doing so. Quote Selected

Ok ok i admit it (Gaming related) Reply #23 – January 31, 2009, 01:31:18 PM Well it was a hard choice between the Trubendz flowmaster (because the 250 dollar special i had put on a year ago is going chevy on me the passenger side is sagging noticeably) or the PS3. I really want a console to play but i want a decent looking daily driver too and i also wanted a new exhaust because the tips were rusting already. My relaxation was going over to a friends place and having about 8 beers and passing out lol. Quote Selected

Ok ok i admit it (Gaming related) Reply #26 – February 02, 2009, 03:25:10 PM I just bought an Elite and Im happy with it. My brother has a pro, and hes had it for over a year, and it red ringed, but it was because of those bogus "intercoolers". I took it off and his xbox is fine. Every rare occasion he'll be playing and it will groove the game disc though. But I love my Elite, and I plan on buying a PS3 here soon, I want GOW 3 Quote Selected
