trying to figure out my idle problem.

okay so it doesn't make sense now. Last time I messed with the car, I put new valve covers on. Now im thinking I didn't plug something in right or not, i'll have to check. But when I replaced the valve covers I had to take the upper intake manifold off, and the plugs. Now my question is... if somethings not plugged in right when installing the manifold back and all the wires that connect to it when it came off would that make my idle go up say like 2000 RPM and stay there? Im just wondering because the car didn't do this until i replaced the vavle covers and having to take the intake manifold. So does anyone know? Thanks i would appreciate it.

yup...check all the lines around the intake.
