Thanks! I meant to put this on the user rides thread, & I accidentally created a new thread. I'm kind of new to this & still struggling a little. And I like you cougar to. You don't see to many original 87 or 88 Cougars in good shape any more. I know I regret some of the things I've done to this car, but I've kept everything that I've replaced.

Yes it is the original paint. Since my parents bought the car new it has never seen Winter or any bad weather other then rain of course. Of all the stainless tips I looked at I liked the dual outlet 2 1/2" tips the best. If you look at the tips from the back of the car, especially after I get the propane flame throwers hooked up, they look pretty cool.

I'm thinking of selling my polished alloy wheels & buying some chrome wheels like yours. Question, are your quarter panel mouldings painted chrome or is that an actual chrome strip dowm the middle? Just asking because I'm looking for a new one for my car thanks to a little fender bender

The trim pieces have chrome strips in them from Ford.Just find a standard Bird or Cat and grab the pie you need, tape off the chrome, paint, install. My tips are double walled, rolled edge, chromed stainless steel.I really don't remember the diameter.I know I like them though. They are very similar to the newer Corvette tips.

I've got someone on here that's selling me one from a 87 Thunderbird & I just wanted to make sure it will work. Yeah, I think i've got the same tips as yours on my car. I think they were $50-70 a piece & there welded on. The first picture of my car on this thread was before I had new exhaust put on & those are just cheap Oreily screw tight tips.
