Steering rack January 04, 2009, 05:27:06 PM I want to get rid of my power steering rack and goto a manual rack. I do not want to buy a high dollar flaming rivers unit. What other donor vehicles are out there that we can use a manual rack off of? Thanks. Quote Selected
Steering rack Reply #1 – January 04, 2009, 05:55:25 PM Did a mustang ever come with a manual rack? I'm thinking about going to a manual rack but I plan on running the high ratio flamin river. Quote Selected

Steering rack Reply #4 – January 04, 2009, 08:57:02 PM Early fox mustangs.(79-86) You will have to use SN95 inner tie rodsthey are longer. You will also need and adapter to go between the steering shaft and the rack. The mauel is smaller in dia. Quote Selected

Steering rack Reply #8 – January 05, 2009, 12:00:16 AM Maybe because both of my cars have SN95 spindles. My inner tierods had to be adjusted all the way out for the toe end to be correct. So I swapped to SN95 inner to keep from then being @ the end of the outer tie rods. Quote Selected
