Lincoln Mark intake

So i was at the junkyard today looking at the thinning selection of cougars and birds and i noticed a lincoln mark that still had the motor almost completely intact, and was wondering if the upper intakes in them were generally HO or S0? The top plate was missing and i really dont know how to tell the difference, it did look like it had an HO exhaust, i noticed it had shorties on it but couldnt get under it to look at the rest.
FOXLESS!!

Should be an HO, especially if it's '88 or newer (all 88-92 Marks had the HO, while pre-88 only the LSC's did)

BUT, the '86 & '87 LSC used a 200Hp HO and at least in '86(& prob '87) used a std SO intake... Most HO intakes have HO on them under the plate that was stated as missing...

If you're buying it for a otherwise stock SO and aren't planning on upgrading the remainder of the engine, you're wastin your money...

Yeah, look for 'HO' stamped into the metal where the plate used to be.

isnt the only difference between the SO and HO upper, is that the HO upper has a slightly larger throttle body opening?
