stock equalizer question Reply #6 – December 28, 2008, 05:33:14 AM Im talking about hooking up a factory EQ in the factory location in the dash, of a car that didnt come stock with the EQ?? Quote Selected
stock equalizer question Reply #7 – December 28, 2008, 04:04:33 PM Mine has the EQ and I was under the impression that you need a non-EQ head unit to connect it up. That HU doesn't have a fader because the EQ does, and it comes with a specific plug to work with the EQ. Course it doesn't really matter, do a search here and you can see how to splice it into your system, plugs not needed. I got my EQ to work with aftermarket HU/AMP/Speakers, etc thanks to a few people here and I LOVE IT. Quote Selected

stock equalizer question Reply #11 – May 23, 2010, 01:41:18 PM It looks like the factory amps were different. With the EQ it has all 6 speakers coming off the amp. W/o EQ only the front and door speakers off the amp. Do you have to swap the amp also? Was the amp/w eq higher wattage?? Quote Selected
