just for the sake of knowing,

what is the difference between cougar and tbird nose panels, 83-85.  to me they look the same, with slightly different grilles.

Screw you Ford... I'm going to get a ranger riding a mustang to restore your focus on the expedition needed to escape from the edge of bankruptcy.

Isn't the header a little different to accomodate the grill?

Angles are different...nothing interchanges between them except for the headlights themselves. The T-Bird is more swept back; the Cougar is more upright.

Eric, do you know if the aluminum bumpers from the early Mustangs fit under the T-bird bumper covers properly?

i'm wondering if a mustang front bumper will fit and at least halfway match, cause i wanna go for a sort of cobra style front bumper if possible, otherwise i was going to get another front bumper and make a custom (and no it wouldnt be for looks, i'm actually planning a usefull splitter on the front, i like to go fast and i want my car PLANTED)

If you look at the cars from a bird's-eye view, the leading edges are different.  That said, I think an SN95 lower valence will fit .. with enough work.

its not so much the lower valance, as i would rather have a full bumper cover to work with.  as it sits, if i keep a stock tbird bumper, i will have to add a splitter to the bottom for downforce.  if i go with a fox mustang bumper cover in the cobra style, the ones i've seen have a leading edge i can reinforce and add to.  i understand the leading edge of the bumper cover is differently shaped, they only part i'm really worried about matchin is to the fenders.
