Aod Help!

So I swapped in a rebuilt aod from a mustang into my 84 t-bird. The linkage is a bit different off the mustang, it points downwards on the tranny and upwards on the bird. How easy is it to swap that over? Also the linkage that goes up onto the throttle body had nothing holding it on. Is there a grommet or is it a clip that holds it in place? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You need to drop the pan to rotate the shift arm. its not hard.
The grommet and clip can be had from ford #F3sz-7h303-b, its about 10 bucks.
