PRC rear shock removal

Hello all,

    I have an 88TC parts car that is going to the sper by the end of the week, and I can't figure out how to get the d**m rear shocks w/motors off.
    Can any one lend some advice?

88 TC 5speed, 168000+ miles, stock 2.3T long block, ported RFE6 exhaust, Evergreen T3 running 15#'s.

once you get the motor off the top it's just a matter of unscrewwing the nut. you may have to put a vicegrip on the shaft and prop it against the fenderwell as a backstop while removing the top nut.  i believe the motors either twist off or just lift off.
