Time to sound like a dick, since I'm good at it.

You have to learn more to accomplish your goal. You don't just put a turbo on an engine, and go "yay, I have 400 horsepower". You have to learn about the computer system, how you're going to tune it, how you're going to keep up with the fuel demands, what to do about your ignition system, what turbo is appropriate for your goals, how you will mount said turbo to your car, how you will plumb it, intercooler or no intercooler, strength of the engine, strength of the transmission, strength of the rear, the body, the suspension, and so many more factors before you consider it.

Or...you can ignore me, slap something together, blow it up, and be mad at the world.
It's Gumby's fault.

I honestly dont think you could exceed the cost of a new car buy installing new *stock* parts everywhere in your coug our tbird. Its just plain impossible. You could revamp the entire drivetrain/engine/suspenstion and still come out ahead.

Start with a supercoupe V6 and trans.  Add two IHIs with ICs.

Keep us posted on the results.

The 3.8 is called the head Gasket hog, even the front wheel drive 3.8. U could Turbo it but it would be less heace to turbo a 5.0 or even buying a TC or XR-7. Or get a SC and build a custom if you really want to build a 3.8.

First off, WTF is a "heace"?

He wants to know about putting a turbo on a 3.8/4.2, not a 5.0, or anything else. I'd say that Shawn's post pretty well summed it up...you didn't need to spew nonsense about it...course, I didn't either :flip:

Then again, what could I expect comin' from a guy with 30# valves...:punchballs:
