My 66 mustang

Well my dad finally got her towed home to his house and I got to work on it. Pulled it into the garage and got it running, and it sounded like a sewing machine, so I pulled the V/C's and polished them, and adjusted the roller rockers. Put everything back together and polished up the air cleaner and other stuff under the hood and just made it look nicer like it used to before it sat outside for over 4 years. Fired it up again and it runs awesome, needs a oil change BAD though, and I ran some seafoam in it and it made a nice difference. Next I cleaned the whole car front to back, polished all the chrome, took the wheels off and polished them, and checked all the brakes. Looks 100% better(I have shiznit before pics from my cell and good after pics with the digi). Took some pics, and a few vids. Shes not pretty but shes my baby, and theres alot of family memories and memories with me and my dad in it.
Sounds  good though!

When it showed up all nasty and dirty:

After about 8 hours under the hood cleaning anc adjusting rockers, and another 5 cleaning outside:

Looks allot better then it did

The vids(one in garage, one out, one of me pulling it in since i cant take it down the road till we bleed the brakes. For a car thats been sitting unstarted for 4 years, she fires right up like nothing! Only a FORD):

got to get the rear valence and front valence(brand new) out of stroage to put on as well as the head light bezels, sfc, and strut brace, then the t-5 comes out, toploader goes in.
Hopefully I'll get all that done before I leave on the 22nd.
All depends when we go get the parts. Would be nice to put the torque thrusts on it but need tires mounted on them

When I come down to go to wyotech for college, im taking the mustang in to get the body work and paint done, and hopefully build the motor!

Sweet Mustang. You can't go wrong with an old Mustang. I am curious why you're wanting to swap the T5 for a Top loader? Either way it'll be awesome when it's done. Do you know what the factory color is?

nice stang, the toploader is able to take more power and abuse than the t-5 i believe.plus the top loader would have come from the factory.but if you were to use the car as a dd i would stick to the t-5 cuz it has od,

Hit the nail on the head
the T-5 is a weak trans. Stuck behind my 351w tourque monster the T-5 complains and it just cant be power shifted, and just wont take anything but babying while you drive, the top loader will take the tourque and the tourque of the motor im gonna build for it. I dont wanna lose the 5th gear but knowing that I wont toast the trans is peace of mind
Plus its a rebuilt T-5 that only has 3,500k about on it, and king is buying it.
Rather sell it while its in top notch shape before I blow it all to hell. One good run at the strip and im sure id blow it.
