Pinks ALL Out with Photos

Got a chance to get on the Pinks All Out @ St. Louis.

We made it to the track and was there about 2 hrs and the
camera crew came up and asked if I wanted my car on the show?

So as you can guess I said "Sure" they video the car in the pits and
interveiwed me as to "Why I built a Cougar instead of a mustang"

Here are some photos of the trip.

Very cool and congrats on your new ET. Hope to see you on the way up in 2 weeks. Turbo kitty runs again by the way. Just needed a new oil cap on the valve cover. Old one did not seal and the turbo was sucking it out. I'll tell ya more at CatJam.

Awesome work, Greg! I was a bit confused from your phone call. I thought you'd decided to put a turbo on the black car, or I'd missed that detail. It's even more exciting to know that's your full weight car running that fast! AWESOME!

As a side note, it did turn out that the 460 Crown Vic was off one tooth at the crank on the timing gear. We haven't taken it to the track yet, but it feels like we went from a solid 17 second 1/4 to a solid 15.5 second 1/4. It sure is expensive, not to mention time consuming, to go fast. LOL.

Oh, and don't forget to fix your signature!!

Did they interview your buddy and ask him why he made the mistake of building a Mustang instead of a Cougar? :D

The show will air on Sept 11.
I told them I worked on mustangs all day long @ the shop.
So I built a cougar to be diffrent. I also told them that anyone
could build a light car and make it fast but it was alot more work
to make a heavy car fast.

I also told them that I have A/c,cruise and power seats and windows.

I honestly dont think you could exceed the cost of a new car buy installing new *stock* parts everywhere in your coug our tbird. Its just plain impossible. You could revamp the entire drivetrain/engine/suspenstion and still come out ahead.
