'nother fuel pump?

what did you guys use for your fuel pump when you went HO?
i had already bought the last nos so motorcraft pump left
at ford or the motorcraft jobbers and then i found out you
need at least 88 lph flow .there are still 90 some nos motorcraft
pumps left through vintage parts but cost is around 238.00.
list of 338.00. do i just wire in a hiper pump which is less money
or go all factory stuff and know it will last the rest of my life.
what did you guys put in? and have you had any problems
with am stuff. ford racing also has a wire in pump. think walbro
makes it for them.also airtex has a wire in replacement for the mark.
can i put one of these in before the motor swap an run it a while?
thanks for any help . --irv toms

Yep used them. I'm running a 155 lph pump but for a stock HO you could use a 110 lph pump.

Irv you putting that 800 mile 5.0 HO in the Cougar aren't you? ;)

maybe this winter. motor cmpt needs a little detailing.
little motor cleanup too. come on up to the mercury
show in northbrook on aug 9. hope it doesnt rain.
got the factory headers and true duals done but with
the smaller tailpipes.--irv:D
where do you get a 110 lph pump. didnt see it listed

They must not have it any more. The 155 lph pump would be fine.

Northbrook on the 9th eh? But I don't have a Mercury ;)

Maybe I should buy a Cougar so I can be in the show lol ;) I have a T-bird show some where near Wheaton the next day. I can bring the pos 95 on the 9th so I won't feel bad about not getting into the show:hick:

If they can't get a 110 lph pump the 155 or even higher would be fine. What ever fuel the engine doesn't use just recirculates back to the tank.
