my 81 bird Reply #4 – May 16, 2008, 02:24:44 PM yeah it is a 88 HO. Tore it down to the block and the bottomend was just like new..Was told the motor was pulled with only 50,000 on it. So i went ahead and reabuilt it usin stock bottom. It has Gt40p's, bbk shorty headers, edlebrock 4 barrel intake, a holley 650...So i cant wait to see how it runs. Just got a few things to do then its goin in. Ive been told ill wanna swap out tha aod for a 4 speed but ill see what happens...BTW anyone on here have a 80-82 bird/cougar on here... Quote Selected

Oil pan started leaking, timing cover as well. Also blew a headgasket. So I parked the car and am now gettin around to a overhaul again. Ive got a couple pics from the fall. Quote Selected
