talk to the auto paint guy to find out the best paint to use. there's enamel based and urathane. just tell the guy what you want to do. and find out what he recommends. his job is knowing paints and there applications.

Pretty much every panel on my 87 is new, rebuilt, or re constructed. :D

I'll be blunt, out of everything on the car, the hardest part for me is the body work. But I am learning that this is so because of two reasons. The first part is not knowing what correct supplies to even use! Asking questions and reading up will help with that one (I love this forum!). The other.... well, I am not an artist, my drawings are barley recognizable stick men, I swear I have a very difficult time telling apart colours which are 'oh-so-close', and of course there is the technique in application of the supplies... that'll come with expierence and practice... you can always repaint your paint job if you make a oo.

I'm going to have to hunt down a paint shop (or even a body shop) in this small little town ;) and have another discussion. :D
