what to do with it?

salvage title
body and interior is a little rough
top is no good
4 cyl motor is no good
i already sold the T5

im on the fence if i wanna gut it, put a 10 point in it, throw in a 351w/c4, and race it. or junk it for s. or try to sell it as a roller.

Disclaimer - im not trying to sell anything in this thread. im only looking for opinions on what to do with it.

I bought one for $200 and then gave it away after I stole the tires.

I honestly dont think you could exceed the cost of a new car buy installing new *stock* parts everywhere in your coug our tbird. Its just plain impossible. You could revamp the entire drivetrain/engine/suspenstion and still come out ahead.

the bird is gonna be finished one day. there's no worry about that. ive never had a convertible before, and it would be cool to have one for the summer. there's a local guy selling a running 302HO/AOD from a gt for $650, and that includes computer and wiring harness.

Summer is about a month away. Do you think you would have it were you want it for summer by summer? Its totally possible just wondering if you think youll have it to what you want. Id the top good? seals and everything like that? Looks like a good base though so if you really did want to you could make it a beast. Alot of weight for a Stang though. The cage will look sweet in it with the top down. Primered for straight business

Whos Vert is that in back?

Read the NHRA rulebook as it pertains to convertibles. Welding $1000 worth of cage into a py $100 Mustang doesn't make much sense...

Dump it.

I learned long ago that when it comes to a 'Vert, buy the nicest one you can.

clean it up, put a running motor in it and drive it arond for the summer. then when summers rolling down yank the motor and sell it as a fun winter project.

as beat as it was i do miss my 84 vert. the whole top down experience was pretty neat, never even got to ride in one before i had it.

Not bad... But needs some money and time put into it...
But if you decide not to keep it:
I say sell as a roller instead of s (Yea, Yea i hate seeing cars get sped), But theres so many mustang fanatics out there, Its bound to bring a few hundred as is~and those turbines are a bonus. :hick:
Doesn't look like you would get too much in s for it anyway... Its so tiny and roofless, lol.
