monster vs spybot

while running monster.com, spybot resident keeps poping up telling me there "could" be problems with xyz url.  This happens everytime a pop up shows or search is clicked or just simply drilling into job listings.  It slows up the computer and puts a red x on most of the advertisp00gets monster uses.

My brother in law finally got his monster account built and this started happening.

Latest ver spybot downloaded as well as latest update on symantic.

this is a global problem on all accounts with this machine.

I do not see where i can chose to disable spybot.

When you installed Spybot you installed a SD helper for internet explorer which blocks some pages from loading properly. You cannot disable this feature after it is installed, but you can uninstall spybot and reinstall without installing the SD-Helper uncheck the tea timer also or it will drive you crazy with registry change alerts.

Actually its very easy to disable the resident.  You have to go into advanced mode and uncheck a box :p

I honestly dont think you could exceed the cost of a new car buy installing new *stock* parts everywhere in your coug our tbird. Its just plain impossible. You could revamp the entire drivetrain/engine/suspenstion and still come out ahead.

HA! Good answer CougerSE, But unless you uninstall the resident shield it is still installed in the IE folder and can still cause conflicts on certain pages.

for a temp solution, spybot is uninstalled.

I searched through the different options on spybot prior to uninstalling and found nothing unusual.

I am going to reinstall it soon and see if that changes anything.

jcassity, when you go to reinstall spybot, be sure to install only the program.

From my own expierence I found that SpyBot is most powerful (and usefull!) when one does NOT install the automated solutions, i.e. the tea-timer & the SD helper, but rather uses SpyBot exclusivly as a search and destory on command.

Just a thought....
