I didn't start until I was probably considered too old: 37. Best thing I ever did. Throwing a (good) spinning hook kick is a rush! Quote Selected

The video that... Reply #4 – March 11, 2008, 03:15:57 PM I used to play Virtua Fighter alot... lol.My son was in Judo when he was 8. It was funny watching little kids beating the out of each other. It was also cool watching his instructor demonstrate the different throws and holds. The guy was a second degree black belt and very impressive. He used me for demonstrations a few times and could toss me around like a rag doll and I weighed 290 at the time.If I were to sign up for anything it would probably be Aikido or Judo. I'd rather be able to block the round house, sweep the leg taking the kicker down hard and get him in a choke hold on the ground, heheh...Here's a couple Aikido demos: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aicHsMC6rxM and http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bn59zha-uAQ&NR=1 Quote Selected
The video that... Reply #5 – March 11, 2008, 04:42:18 PM yeah akido is awesome, that is what Steven segal is trained in. I would enroll in that too, but there are no akido dojo's around here. I think that would be the ultimate combo, Akido/Tae Kwon Do (korean style, the kind I am in)... Quote Selected
The video that... Reply #6 – March 11, 2008, 05:22:29 PM Yeah, it's a shame that there are no Judo or Aikido dojos anywhere.I think Segal is a 7th dan which = super bad ass.Too bad he's also a super fat ass now. Quote Selected
