there was a thread several months ago with a pt cruiser that was... customized.  i apparently made a racist comment.  i didn't think it was that bad at all, but i guess someone did.

that sucks,
seems a little extreme.
although this is a family show, and I could see a few neg. points

but I'm not in charge, and I don't remember the post

check out my red boxes.  i earned mine for being "sneaky."  i didnt mean to, settled everything, and i like to keep the green boxes up so i know if someone im talking to is worth doing buisness with.  i also try and give people god rep points if they represent my side of a discussion but the discussion doesnt need my input.  it doesnt bother my a bit.  sure i wouldnt natrually want all those red boxes. but meh its no real big deal.  i cant remember, right now i only think i have 50 neg points ( at least thats all i found) but im sure i got neg 100,000 points or something somewhere.

i just found my total neg points..

 -107952 point(s) total

so yeh, the mods just play really rough.  i've found that this forum is very exclusive to kind nice hardworking people.  so when an ass gets on, or someone is mistaken for an ass, you get the huge backhand from the mods.

doesnt bother me any tho.

oh i think there is a way to reverse the negative points thing.  its obvious that you cant remove the bad points, but im pretty sure you could add enough possitive points that the boxes will go away.  i mean i'd suspect if you had 1 red box, you could work at getting that 1 good rep to get it back to at least normal.  but theres no way i could come back from -107952.  it'd take a couple lifetimes.  but oh well, whats done is done.

Sounds like to me some people enjoy giving negatives to people that don't agree them. Now I can understand giving someone a negative for making a personal attack(name calling) or racist comment. But to give some positive rep just cause they kiss ur butt or a negative cause they have a difference of opinion is childish. I don't contribute a lot to this board, as I am not as TBird or Cougar savy as most here being this is only my 2nd Fox body car since 1982.

Partition in the rep system is entirely voluntary. You can turn it off in your profile settings. Personally I ignore the whole thing, since it does nothing. I don't give rep out, positive or negative, and AFAIK I don't receive points either (never checked). Some boards have a promotion system where privileges are given as points are gained, but we don't have that here.
