My current verizon deal is almost done so I'll be hitting up comcast again...etc..So if your using gmail what do you like and dislike about it.. Quote Selected
anyone using gmail? Reply #1 – February 11, 2008, 01:25:56 PM I've been using G-Mail for quite a while. It has great storage, works well, is quick, and isn't bombarded with ads. The spam filter is also top notch. I really like the threaded display of replies (although I usually use Outlook to view my email which loses this feature) The chat function is worthless (to me anyway) but it is unobtrusive when collapsed so I don't mind it. If you need an invite, let me know. Quote Selected
anyone using gmail? Reply #2 – February 11, 2008, 01:41:08 PM The storage is impressive. They are giving me over 6 GB thats more than verizon gives and I pay for that.. LOLI've always had a gmail account I just signed up for it and never used it. I starting to use it today and was wondering if I'm wasting my time or not. So far it looks good. It does have the ads on the right side of my page I have to find out how to get rid of that. Quote Selected

That's odd, I don't have any ads at all. I used to have "sponsored links" at the top of the page that were supposedly related to the content of each email, but that was easy to shut off in the settings. Maybe I have no ads since I've had the service for so long. I really don't know. I was completely spam free for several years until one of my "friends" decided to sign me up for some email porn thing. I got more spam after I opted out than I got while I was signed up. Good thing the spam filter catches everything. Quote Selected

anyone using gmail? Reply #8 – February 13, 2008, 01:45:46 AM I've had one since they had invites to use it (remember that?). You can look around on download.com and get something that makes it so you can use your gmail as a thumb drive... Quote Selected

anyone using gmail? Reply #10 – February 13, 2008, 09:28:06 AM I've had gmail for a couple years, basically since somebody got my password for my Yahoo e-mail account (that I'd had for 9 years), and Yahoo decided they didn't want to help me.No complaints. It's a hell of a lot better than Hotmail. Quote Selected

Gmail and Picasa Reply #12 – February 13, 2008, 03:04:42 PM Love it too. Another great Google program is Picasa. Works very well to organize, edit and send pictures. Works really well with a gmail account for emailing pictures. Even if you have hi-res pictures, there is an option to email copies of the pictures at the original size or several smaller sizes. While it takes a little time to set up and learn all the features, it's a great program if you have lots of pictures to keep track of.http://picasa.google.com/ Quote Selected
