today on the way back home, i flerted with a 30th,, the owner was wondering what i was doing when i slowed down and checking her our. Perhaps she had an over inflated sense of self worth cause it sure as heck wasnt her i was checkin. Waved my hand , gave thumbs up and the owner (she) kinda smiled. oh well,,

It was nice to plant rubber in a 20th right along side a 30th.

I LOVE every minute of being alone with this car. Amazingly one day at the supermarket I'm turning the key about to open the door and I hear "Hey you've done a good job keeping that up" I spun my head to the right and this older guy getting into a beat up 90ish F150 is looking at me. So I'm like "who me?" "Yeah it looks great". "Oh...th-thanks yeah I like it a lot it'll never leave me". I got in and he backed out before me so I fired it up and pipeshotted him as he took off. :hick: I saw him smile and give me a thumbs up in my mirror. First time I have EVER been complimented on the car, made me feel real good. Of course, it had sat in my driveway for about 2 weeks straight, the roads were FINALLY reasonably clean and practically every other car in the parking lot was nice and dusty white. :D So it probably stood out even more because of that!

I used to see them all the time back in the '90s.
When I had my red '88 XR-7 back in 2000, I can remember sitting in a line of traffic at a red light and spotting another red '88 XR-7 sitting about four cars in front of me.
As the driver turned left at the light, she cranked her head out of the window to look at my car. Our cars were nearly identical; the other Coug' had body-color turbines.
Not long after that, I was driving on Route 50 in WV when I spotted a 20th Anniversary coming the other direction. We were staring at each other's cars.
I'm doing my best to preserve these cars just as you guys are doing. In fact, I found one that I really want, but it's just too risky to buy it right now.
