so i have to say i am enjoying the time i am spending with my "Anny" on all my road trips. I feel no guilt about the miles either becaue the car arrived to me with a swapped cluster that already had over 20 extra thousand miles on it.

while over the past 19years of owning Fox body coug's, I usually saw a few others out there like mine. this past year has been depressing and with no siblings in sight, I find myself sometimes flerting with the MN12's like the ugly duckling or something.

The problem with most MN12 owners is they know nothing about this site, nor would 99 percent of them care. I catch the occasional glance from the owner of MN12's and they kinda look as though they are just driving.

So, who else out there has been guilty of flerting with MN12's? I had one down here in spartanburg toying with me like the one a few weeks ago in charlotte.

I flirted with an MN12 back in '93. It was a disastrous relationship.

I kinda like not seeing other fox birdcats on the road. It makes me all the more proud of my survivor. It also makes the few times that I do see one on the road that much more special, because I know the driver of the other one is thinking the same thing about my car that I'm thinking about his.

Well lets's see...my cars include:
-'83 Thunderbird
-'80 Cougar
-'87 Merkur Scorpio
-'87 VW Scirocco 16V

So I RARELY see any other cars like me around, and I like it that way. I've never been a fan of the MN-12's, so honestly I don't pay them much notice on the road.

I have spotted a couple Foxes on the road the past couple weeks. Actually I just saw an 83-84 this morning coming to work from the plater's. It was painted some ugly medium blue, but it looks like it was at least moderately loved.

While they are by no means abundant, several fox Birds & Kittys still roam the area... Someone is rodding a white 5.0 '87-'88, see it fairly often(always goin' the other way LOL)... Has ten holes and a noticeable exhaust note... There's a black V6 Bird that visits the church across from me very regularly... Always very clean and polished, a old guy drives it(older 'en me)...

Saw a "Anny", Monday morning on I-664, when I was headed over to the daughters(passed me)... Think it was probably the same one I saw just south of the Portsmouth city limits in Chesapeake a couple months ago... Didn't look great, but was still very decent...

I see a gold turbo coupe every day when I come home in my apartment complex. Oh wait that guy lives with me :hick:

Ive seen 3 in the last 3-4 months

1-85 or 86 cougar-- 2 tone grey. very nice condition. Drives it in winter too
1-87-88 bird ---red more dents then flat panels on it
1-87-88 cougar ls --white with rust in the usual spots

I see them every once and a while around here. But more often over the past few weeks people are buying turbo coupes. I know this becouse I keep getting phone calls and e-mails saying "hay I just picked up a turbo thunderbird and (insert part here) doesnt work, whats wrong?". It's cool that they come to me, but at the same time that just means that I'll see more in my town. and I like being the only one.

I've seen a few nice ones recently,mostly stock but nice.
then I also seen nasty lookin ones to.But my eyes stare at the nice ones.We are the wierd ones here,untill the day they won't exist anymore.

There is a guy on the other side of town with a silver one. Oh wait I know that guy too :hick:

Around town I see a black 87 88 v8 bird with a huge sleepertbird style cowl hood. Haven't seen it for a while. It was pretty rough.

I think the next addition to my stable will be a 95 - 98(I really want a 97 tho so i can have both the 20th anny and a 30th anny) 4.6 cougar, that is if i can find one (once im done with the loan on the 99 that is).

I have an unhealthy obsession with cougars.

when i see a thunderbird im absolutely surprised. i saw one, looked like it had been repainted but otherwise a good yet worn example of the 87-88. to be honest i NEVER see 4 eyed birds ANYWHERE. and all the cats i see are usually up on blocks in someone's yard. heck even mn12 cats are up on blocks in yards, or at least been parked there for a couple years. i dunno but i notice mn12 birds checkin me out quite a bit. they'll drive more aggressivly around me, sometimes they want to "challenge" me to SOMETHING, god only knows what.. street racing or something? dunno. but i do notice a lot of them kinda checkin the car out. when i got on the interstate the other day a porsche cut through traffic to see what car i was... too bad i couldnt mess with him lol. due time.

i see a few of the typical beaters pretty regularly, but a couple nice ones i see once in a while.

the pizza delivery kid drives a blue 83-4 bird. that was fun the first time he delivered here....i saw him pull up and decided to go out thru the garage to meet him instead of at the front door. i think his jaw left a hole in my driveway.

i also occasionally see a grey 87-8 cougar on my way home from work. very clean, stock outside 'cept a set of ponys and non-stock exhaust tone.

There weren't a lot of Foxes on the road back when I first got my Cougar (1996). There were rare enough that anytime someone would see one while driving in the Cougar, we'd yell out "COUGAR". Nowadays I rarely ever see a Fox Cougar/Thunderbird. Pretty much every one I see is a beater. Heck, I'm sure my neighbors look at my cars and think "Why does someone who lives in this neighborhood own two old ugly-arse POS cars?" I really need to get my babies painted. :hick:
