should I build a mustang or another tbird?

Hey guys, looks like I'm back on a full-time basis. I bought the bird back but its all smashed up and needs to be parted out.

So I got a nice engine, tranny, and rear... I need to find a nice home for them. Anyone have or know of any nice rolling chassis in my area drop me an email. I'm looking for either a foxbody tbird or mustang I'm not sure yet.

check out my parts thread and post any requests for parts

nope still have the 96 LSC its my daily driver. It been running really good. It just cost me a small fortune over the summer to get it up to par (brakes, air suspension, maintence items, tires etc....) hopefully I don't need to put any cash into it for a long time

I voted tbird only because here where I live I see WAY too many mustangs...old and new. Granted I have a soft spot for the 87-93 fox notch body style but that's just about it.

I voted T-bird (what a shock).  However, if you have certain plans, eg hauling large quantities of manure (Mustang) or parking (Ranger), then maybe a T-bird isn't the best choice.

What do you have in mind?

I like them to If I find a nice notch for the right price I think I'm going to jump on it

I voted Bird, but you do what you want.  No point in paying good money for something you ain't happy with.  Now if it was going to be a track car, Mustangs are a lot easier to build, power to weight is better, more parts, etc.

I voted for the bird because I REALLY regret selling mine and the mustang I have hasn't made up for it....  I am currently looking for a bird to build as well....

you know with the bird I would get tons of compliments everyday when driving it. Not that I need that in life but people were happy when they seen the tbird in flight. I've owned a very clean 96 LSC for the last 6 months and not one person has said hey thats a clean mark or cool car...

The bird was a fun car to own, everyone liked it, I thought I was growing tired of it but, as the months went by I realized maybe I was just tired of driving it as my daily driver.

So I'm not sure what I want. The good thing is I have time to decide

My local twin is back! I will let you in on my experience with this. I had my 85 Tbird for 12 years, decided that i wanted a Mustang. So this is what I ended up building.

Was by far the nicest and best built that I had owned. After driving it on the street and a few trips to the track, I got tired being a Mustang guy. Not that I don't appreciate them, but being just a little different is nice.
We all have opinions, but it is up to you. Good luck and keep us informed.

If you are seriously looking for a TC, there is a local one. 87/88 Black, not sure of interior color or shape. It sat in their front yard for sale one night only and has been sitting back behind the house with the hood propped. I'll check it out if you like. I have been wanting to stop and take a look for myself, but I really don't need another car now.
