I have been told by some people that the duals look ridiculous on my 99 and sound ricey, i have also been told they sound and look good. They do sound ricey, oh well i like the way they look.

lesson here cant please everyone so just make your  self happy.

20thanny5.0- What lers you running with that on your new Cougar? An old buddy had one jsut liek that and he had an aero-turbine ler on his split into duals like that and it sounded awsome!! sounded like a semi!! Did not sound ricy to me... Is that a stick shift car? his was, and it ran half decent. he could destroy my 83 when i first started driving it, and he could hold his own on my old 88 at 18# and an open exhaust. Was not a bad car!!

Nah mine is an automatic, and yeah i really like my 99 alot of people here hate them because they strayed from the usual , the big v8 Fox's  and MN12's. I personally love the car for a V6 its peppy , now i just need to get those Eagle Rsa's so it will hook better. There are plenty of things i want to do to this little 2.5 even if it is going to be my DD while the 87 is my Summer car.

here is what it sounds like

cool, that dont sound bad. His was a little deeper than that at idle and  a little louder from what I recall, but that sounds good. heck, I dont care its a V6, i dont even got one of those, mines a 4 cyl :burnout:    so who cares  :shakeass:

I like the duals or yours, the only thing I would do is cut them back a bit almost even with the bumper, less chance of getting hit. Just my opinion. Do you have any side pics, my daughter is throwing around the idea of a new gen. cougar and ofcoarse I would have to up the exhaust.

Here is the side pic you wanted

I think the reason it looks like they stick so far out when you look down on them is because of the roundness of the bumper

It does look a lot farther back from the side.

Is the tip actually a part of the ler or is it just that a tip?
Because I was wondering if I could cut an angle on the tip and bend the pipe up a few degrees to match the angle of the bumper.

i was also thinking about cutting those at an angle but at the moment dont have the cash, those are tips.
