Aluminum driveshafts, with a twist December 10, 2007, 03:39:09 PM I'm sure this topic has been discussed before:I know some of the turbo coupe guys from nato and turboford have gone with a cut/rewelded/rebalanced factory aluminum driveshaft. Either off of a Crown Vic or an Aerostar I believe. What I'm looking for is an aluminum shaft for an 88 turbocoupe with a t-5 BUT with a 9 inch rear instead of the stock 8.8Any Ideas??thanksDarrell Quote Selected
Aluminum driveshafts, with a twist Reply #1 – December 11, 2007, 10:00:10 AM your gonna have to get that fabricated up by someone. I used a regular drive shaft and had it modded and balanced for the 9" that was in my bird. No biggie. Quote Selected

Aluminum driveshafts, with a twist Reply #5 – December 15, 2007, 07:44:28 PM Any competent driveshaft shop should be able to shorten, rebalance, and change the end to mount properly to a 9". Quote Selected
