Why i love my cougar

I love my cougar because i can identify with it. Any moron can go buy a mustang or a camaro and say "Look at me! I have a hotrod! Woo hoo!" but with a cougar there is a connection. Like me, the cougar is misunderstood, underappreciated, a little heavier and under estimated. I love my cougar because i know the entire cougar community feels the same pain for our cars that i do.

This is one of the many reasons I bought a Fox that doesn't happen to be a Mustang.  While attempting not to conform might be comformity in itself, I have to believe the pride we take in our more unique cars is a feeling that cannot be matched by the Mustang community.

You get a HO and a few extra pounds of weight but you save a little money on engine swap for more mods to make up for it all.

same reason i got a T-Bird

Only 80s mustangs i think are kind of cool is the 2.3L SVO and a T-Top fox body and sometimes a nice fixed up coupe.

I actually Sold my 86 hatchback to buy the cougar.  I fell in love with it the first time i saw it.  It was so ugly and dirty, I had to save it, lol.  I actually called about a motor for sale in the classifieds, it turned out he was gonna yank the one in the cougar and sell it!!!  then he was gonna s the body!!!!  I'm really glad i saved this car, and i know the only way i will get rid of it is if something REALLY bad happens.

PLUS its great to destroy cars who think they are fast in my black brick!!!

I just love pullin up to a light in my underrated, understated, stock-lookin Tbird next to some decked out ricer that people think is hot stuff, then just smokin em.  It flies under the radar but appears when needed :) .

Hello

I bought my 86 bird back in 97.  I have drive it hard had H.O. parts in over the years and broke some part which were all minor fixes.  Best $1000 bucks I ever spent.  When I bought it, It was in perfect shape.  At the time I was looking for a stang but oh well got a bird instead.  Now I have my stang but still enjoy the bird.
