Good intake to use for 5.0 carb'd Reply #4 – November 14, 2007, 10:27:47 AM Quote from: blu84302;187500i don't see that clearing a stock hood with an aircleaner.Thats the only problem with the intake. But then again, If your using this intake, your probably more concerned about power than cutting a hole in your hood.;) Quote Selected
Good intake to use for 5.0 carb'd Reply #5 – November 14, 2007, 10:44:13 AM Don't get me wrong, I'd love to have it. But I can see alot of issues with it. TV linkage being one. But I'll probably have to cut a hole in my hood when i get to the aircleaner install. And my intake doesn't look as cool as yours. Quote Selected

Good intake to use for 5.0 carb'd Reply #7 – November 14, 2007, 11:43:43 AM i'm running the edelbrock rpm intake. but i also have a C-4 to handle all the power. i have seen too many stock aod's tear up down the track from a very weak input shaft. you can spend a few hundred and beef up the aod if you really need the gas mileage. But then again I DIDN"T BUILD MY CAR FOR GAS MILEAGE !!!! did you install at least a trans cooler ??? Even though i work at a Jaguar dealership i see lots of trannys come in with burnt fluid . (other fords , not jaguar) Quote Selected

Good intake to use for 5.0 carb'd Reply #9 – November 14, 2007, 01:45:56 PM Quotethe new intake eats the competition in the 4000-8500 RPM range. With that high of an operating range, it's probably gonna make your low end torque suffer mucho lotso. Not to mention the things you'd have to do to an AOD to get it to spin that high as well as a matching cam to see the benefits of it and a torque converter that stalls around 5,000 RPM. NOT A STREET INTAKE.Like the site says : QuoteDesigned for highly modified SBF engines Quote Selected
