Timing cover fit

I want to know if all the small block timing covers are the same or not.  I have a bid in on one on Ebay for $10 but its for a late 60's cougar.  I know about the dipstick and fuel pump thing I just wanna know what all will fit.

Actually I think the waterpump gasket  changed at one point in time, be careful of that.

I *think* it's different between the reverse and non reverse rotation water pump . Ford Racing sells one that works with both style water pumps and has provisions for the mechanical fuel pump and dipstick tube. I have it on my T-bird with no problems.

Yeah but I dont want to spend $120 on a freaking timing cover.  So if its made for a reverse rotation water pump it will work?

i was always told to look for the fuel pump hole if it is blocked off by the casting then it is reverse stle. if there is a area opened enoung for a fuel pump then it is standard. never really looked at the dipstick in the cover before ?????  uumm...
