the threads arent the same size. i believe the coolant temp sensor uses metric threads, and the manifold uses SAE. you'll need to find an adapter pipe fitting. it will screw in where the heater tubes unscrewed from.(near the t-stat housing)

This is deffinately not true, the location where the lines plugged in is MUCH larger then the threads for the sensor.

i know this. i didnt mention it was larger, due to the fact its obvious. you'll need to find an adapter, or look in some junkyards for a different version. some were a 90* elbow for the heater hose, and also had threads for the sensor.

if browse ebay for "302 intake manifold", someone is bound to have a pic of it.

Shes firing and shooting fuel...

Is the ECT sensor at least plugged in?  I know on the 2.3T's, if you have the ECT unplugged, more than likely the car won't start...period.

You should pay better attention to what things are before you start ripping them apart.

Yes, the ECT is plugged in.

Chuck, I did, but however with moving and going through a divorce forcing me to leave the car at a nearby friends house make it hard to recall exactly where everything goes...

On that note, there is a relay near my airbox, Seems to be she keeps on clicking.
Does anyone know what that relay is for?
I can't tell by the two diagrams that I have.

how are you verifying you have spark? if you're getting spark and fuel into the cylinder and it still wont start, you're timing is off.

Timing is correct, went by the valves to verify it not being 180* out.
I'm checking spark by pulling the wire and connecting it to an old plug that I have and watching it arc.

After turning the motor over, should fuel spray like crazy out of the fuel lines (when burping it) or should it just dribble out?

you should have a mess if you just got done cranking and you push in the shrader valve pin.

if you dont,, you might have just found your problem.

Also,, if your parked in such a way on a bank, sideways or sloped like a recent mustang i worked on,, and you've been cranking and cranking with about a 1/4 tank or less,
then,,,,
push the car to level ground and recrank.  With low fuel and being parked on a slope, you can empty out the resivoir the fuel pump sits in.

Seems like it is a fuel issue then, not much sprays out.
The car is not on a slope, and there is 2~ gallons in the tank.
I'm going to add to the tank and get a can of starting fluid and see where that gets me.
