I had just started college the first time around in Orlando and drove by the biggest Eastern Ford dealer every day. They got a Mineral Gray M5 one in. I took it for a spin the first week, it felt "doggy" at the time, but it only had 10 miles on it! I got to go for a ride in a 15,000 mile one recently and it felt MUCH stronger! I can't believe the 6,800RPM redline and the low-end torque. Granted an LS would still out-grunt it down low, but from 4,000-6,500 the DOHC screams! (I know, I know, I hate the 4.6's. I'm used to eating crow :hick: ) That was just the first "new" Ford that ever made an impression on me (the 93 Firebird still gives me the willys, that was the first non-AMC that ever did "it" for me). By the time the Mach came out I was already heavy into TC's but it seemed to me that the Mach was to the GT what the TC was to the TBird; better suspension, bigger brakes, "more" motor, stunning visuals.
