Removing locking wire caps

I bought an '84 Cougar with locking wire hubcaps and I want to swap wheels and tires with my '88. I've been prying on the center cap to get it off, but I'm just bending it and it won't budge. Does anyone know how to get these kind of wheels off? I do have a key to unlock them. Thanks

go to a ford dealer, they will more than likely remove that hubcap bolt for you if you ask.

Mine had those when I first got it. The centers came off fine for me with a screw driver :dunno:

There should be a sticker attached to the bottom of the trunk lid it explains the removal process, it should still be there if the lid hasn't been replaced.

I found that the black face comes off instead of the whole cap. Thanks for your responses.
