Just test drove an 05 GT today...

and WOW! My order's going in a lot sooner then I planned (probably a month). The salesman beat the  out of it first and put the thing sideways out of a gas station, and I was more than welcome to have fun.  :D

I also test drove an RX8 today (my not so secret obsession). And as much as I've heard people saying they were terrible, I think they're crazy. The car was awesome, but it didn't quite have enough to win over the mustang. If the 05 wasn't out though, I'd be putting in an order for the RX8.  :D

So what that in response to his request for a ride? :giggle:

With Dare's luck I wouldn't want him any where near a new car of mine  :slap:

LOL, yep, that's what it was for ;) I wasn't sure between the Windveil blue and mineral gray. Found em both at a dealership side by side and fell for the blue (have a gray car anyway).

Test drive 2 hopefully in OH this week. I'm pretty torn between the 2 cars, so I'm getting second opinions :)

It'd be a little easier if I didn't know I could get a loaded RX8 for about the same price as the loaded GT. It's just convincing them to let me take the GT out knowing I won't be buying it from there that'll be the pain. At least around here, they're being really picky about letting people drive them, luckily I didn't have to argue TOO much.

That's because you're a girl.  Girls never have to argue too much with middle aged car salesmen to get what they want.  :grinno:

The shear fact that one comes with torque should point you at the Mustang. ;)

Torque wins races. Hp sells Hondas (and unboosted rotaries).

LOL, it's to be a daily driver ;)

More than likely it'll be the stang, just have this soft spot for that rx8...

Crystal that RX8 would have been nothin but headaches. Nicely put, Mazda transmissions suck ass, ask anyone who has any experience with them. A friend of mine bought an RX8 and went through 3 transmissions along with a new engine. I like the body, suspension, and interior of those cars, but the drivetrain blows and Mazda knows it. When he tried to trade in the car, Mazda didnt want it.

They need to put a Ford mod motor in the RX8, then it would be a bad ass ride...

I had a 5speed in my little mazda pickup. That truck sucked balls. the tranny went out on it twice, and that is with a carbed 1982 1.9l inline four. It had the same tranny that the earlier rx7's had.(along with the ranger). It couldnt hold its own against a >100hp inline four. I hated that truck too. Imagine being 6'4" driving a puppiesanese truck. I took that truck to warped tour with a 1 1/2 foot mohawk. Couldnt get out of the ed thing.

I honestly dont think you could exceed the cost of a new car buy installing new *stock* parts everywhere in your coug our tbird. Its just plain impossible. You could revamp the entire drivetrain/engine/suspenstion and still come out ahead.
