I searched and only found pictures, no how-to's. Anyone got a how-to on this?

It's just a notched tab the locks them into place, The hard part is getting them out. :hick:

Seems like they should just slide in then pop into place, And they arent height adjustable or anything as far as i know.
Not totally sure as i haven't installed mine.

thin ruler down the front side of the tab... push headrest down along with the ruler. hold metal ruler with headrest and pull up.

Well... That's the fun part...

In fact everyone just takes the easy route when they find them at the junkyard here~They knife-up the seat pry the latch and pull em out, heh.

It's a bit of a pain but the way i know is:
1: Grab some duct tape and a hacksaw blade or 2, Then tape up the seat around the neck of the headrest so you dont se up or tear up the seats (or headrest).
2:Then you take your flat hacksaw blade and jam it down the front of the neck of the headrest until it stops on something, Now try and force it past whatever is stopping it (This is the latch holding the headrest in via a notch in the metal neck).
3: once it jams past or you think it has, leave the hacksaw where it is and try and pull the headrest out (wiggle if neccessary).
4: should pop right out if you bypassed the tab thinger correctly.

It's kind of frustrating, But keep at it and youll get it.
Just be careful not to wreck your seats or headrests with the hacksaw blade, And don't cut up your hands~I use lots of tape layers around the area.

Think of the tab your going after as a money clip, The opening is facing upwards and on the front side is a tab that fits into a groove on the headrest.
The hacksaw blade needs to get between the tab to separate and make a flat bridge so it can slide out.

Sorry if this sounds screwey, I'm bad at explaining things sometimes.
