New TC Gauge Faces Reply #10 – August 15, 2007, 03:35:52 PM Quote from: Red_LX;169234So how are you gonna light em, LED's?The plan was to remove the existing faces and apply the new ones over the top. I am still working on the black layer for the back (so there wont be any ghosting) and then use a layer of blue lighting gel placed behind the numbers to provide blue illumination using the stock lighting sockets (but upgrading the 194 bulbs to 2829 for better illumination). New TC Gauge Faces Reply #12 – August 15, 2007, 05:21:59 PM I had the indigo gauges in my 92 SC. They drove me insane and i finally took them out. The Gauges didn't line up properly and I could never get the color dialed in correctly. During night driving (which i do alot of) they almost blinded me and killed my night vision. Quote Selected
New TC Gauge Faces Reply #13 – August 15, 2007, 08:13:12 PM Custom gauge faces FTW! I've been working on (and by "working on" I mean "not working on") a set of custom gauges for the Thunder Chicken for quite awhile now. I'm gonna go with a classic-style design, though... Quote Selected
New TC Gauge Faces Reply #14 – August 15, 2007, 10:20:16 PM I bet you could put some blue 194 bulbs in there or get some thing blue plastic sheet at the hobby store for the blue effect. I put some indiglo faces in my 94 cougar I used red 194's to make the needles red no the white. No paint just bulbs. Also these aren't so new but these are the one's I made for my 84 Turbo coupe. I think they are the Shhhhizzzzzzzzzzit Quote Selected
