yes! 275's!!!

i now have 275/40/17 on the rear now!!! they look great!! these are the same width tire as the GT 500!!
1988 LX coupe. a dressed up motor with full exhaust and BBK shorties with flowmasters, BBK CAI, accufab 65mm tb, HO upper intake, cobra valve covers.

I have 255's out back,and they're prety wide.I really want to see 275's.I may need a set of those when I'm done with the engine.I'll be tearing the rear tires up the day I tighten the last bolt under the hood.

Don't mean to steal your thunder, but here's a pic of my 87 TC with 275/40/17 M/T DR's on the back.  They fit and look great.

how much did those DR's cost?

They were blems (double-stamped MT logos), got em for $300 mounted/balanced.  I think they sell on Summit for $185 each.  I'm very happy with their performance as well.

Same I have 255s in the rear and 235s in the front. I saw a new Z06 today, comes stock with 325s!!

I think I could actually fit 315's in back.  M/T makes a 315/35/17 drag radial that I've been drooling over for a while now...
