okay ive read quite a few different posts but still dont have a clear answer to go off.

what is the max size wheel that i can fit on my '88 tbird.  its the base model.  ive read only 17x8's but i have also read you can fit 17x9's on the back.  what is the correct offset i should be looking for?

26"x 12 with slicks all around for me.

it is all alot of measuring your set up an what wheel you want an if you want to change your set up for your wheels. but 17x8 is suppose to be a nice fit overall.

I'm sure if you are careful with measurements, and roll the fender lip, you can get 12's in the back. I had 10's and lots of room inboard, almost get my fist up there. But I also had them out so far I had to roll the lip. Centered up, 10's would be great.
I had 9's in the front, and feel I could have had wider, but don't remember how much room I had.

I can guarantee you 12's will not fit out back. And 9's are the limit up front.
