Anyone heading through? Reply #1 – July 25, 2007, 08:56:19 AM I'm already east of Ft. Wayne, so I won't be going through there. But if you are taking 30 over I might be able to meet you down there. Or you could jump up to Findlay and take 224 over as well. 30 would probably be quicker as it's all four lane now (for the most part) through Ohio, but 224 is a direct shot. 30 isn't that far south for me to go so I'd be up for that as well. All this, of course, is dependent on when you are going to be in the area. I was planning on leaving sometime Friday mid to late morning or maybe even very early afternoon. From Findlay it's about 3 hours to Y-town.quickcat97 and I had discussed possibly meeting and blackcat97 was asking about a cat-o-van, so if the timing is right and they are still interested......? Rt 30 would be better if quickcat97 went with us as I believe he's going to be trailering his Cat and 224 is pretty hilly. Quote Selected

Rt 30 would be better if quickcat97 went with us as I believe he's going to be trailering his Cat and 224 is pretty hilly.The easiest way with pulling a trailer would proabably be 30E to 71N to 76E. 76E takes you right to I80, then it is a a short jaunt down 680 and you are at RRI.If you leave Findlay around 1 PM, you should miss all major rush hour traffic. That would put you around Akron at about 3 PM. Then from Akron you are only about an hour from Youngstown. If you are going to be coming through Akron, I could meet up with everyone. I was planning on leaving about 3. I don't think I will be taking the car out Friday though, probably just drive the truck, and then bring the car out with me on Sat. Quote Selected
Anyone heading through? Reply #3 – July 25, 2007, 03:03:38 PM Nope no trailer I got the running alot better!!! only have 1 small issue at higher rpm's so no trailer for me. I usually take 75 to the ohio turnpike then take that straight through. I will look at a map tonight when I get time and see what road's go where. I really don't want to head out of my way too much since im getting about 10mpg w/ premium. Quote Selected

IIRC you will be lucky to make it above 25 MPH between 30 and 76. 71 is the major route between Columbus and Cleveland always a lot of traffic at rush hour. Quote Selected

You have a PMI am planning on being in Akron around 3:00. I am working till noon, and if the rain lets up I want to put a few finishing touches on the car.
