two speakers not working

i installed the CD changer, i just need to permanantly mount it, but since my dash is partially apart, and i can easly get to the amp in the trunk, i thought id ask about this

i have premium sound with the equalizer in the 87 TC, the left front speakers dont work, seems as if they arnt getting any signal at all, o had the head unit out, and the EQ out, nothing seemed wrong, but before i put it back together, what should i check out on these to test the speaker feed?

also, same thing goes with the amp, what can i do to see if those speakers are getting power
It's Gumby's fault.

I would test the speakers with a 9v battery. it will make them buzz if its still good.

I honestly dont think you could exceed the cost of a new car buy installing new *stock* parts everywhere in your coug our tbird. Its just plain impossible. You could revamp the entire drivetrain/engine/suspenstion and still come out ahead.

the speakers dont seem to be the issue, because if there was power getting to them, theyd at least crackle
