Not 100% sure here but I didn't think any non-XR-7 convertibles had that bumper cover and something doesn't seem right with the driver fender. Also, looks like the rubber seal around the driver door is white as well as perhaps the harness boot that runs between the door and car.Prior damage isn't always a big deal, especially for a rare car like this. I just hope the accident wasn't bad enough to twist it, being that it may not be able to stand up to as much of an impact as a hard top.Interesting combination of options though. Quote Selected
85 Cougar Convertible on eBay, FL Reply #4 – June 25, 2007, 10:12:00 AM That is a GS model...not an LS. The bumper has been replaced, and it looks like someone attempted to install the fog lights, as the switch is in place. I agree with the driver's side front fender...it's jacked somehow. I think the paint is a pearl white. The top looks to have been replaced. The rear p/s small window doesn't go down with the top; it should. The small windows are missing the rubber seal; maybe that's why they look white. They should be chrome.Otherwise, it's a legit Car Craft convertible, with every detail known to 1985 and early 1986 Cougar convertibles. Doesn't seem like it's a bad car, especially for the price.Happy hunting. :) Quote Selected

That vinyl is pretty durable stuff.I was actually looking at the rubber strip that runs along the bottom of the door and then up along the front edge. You can see it under the keys to the left of the yellow scent tree: Quote Selected

85 Cougar Convertible on eBay, FL Reply #9 – June 25, 2007, 09:03:29 PM Hmmm....Usually when somebody ends an auction early it will still be available but will say "Auction has ended" and will have the reason, such as "The seller has decided to end the auction early because the item is no longer available for sale". That auction has disappeared altogether, which usually only happens when eBay cancels the auction because it's fraudulent, or the seller got booted off eBay, or the auction broke eBay rules somehow. Strange indeed. Quote Selected
