Pic of my first Cougar!

During a recent junkyard jaunt I found this little gem!  $300 And it was mine.  Me and blu84302 towed it home with his T-bird.  It was crazy fun!

The car is an 88 Cougar Special Edition.  Its White with the Porno Red interior!  It has a 3.8 in it now but soon it will be a 5.0.  Hopfully before cat jam.

When we got the car home we were amazed that it fired right up!  It ran like it had a bad headgasket.  After I ran a compresion test I discovered this to be false!  New cap and rotor and fresh plugs and she purrs like the kitten she is!  For now atleast.....

... I love message boards. The passion is great for our cars, and not many people respect what they deserve.  I can't wait to beat your car when we race though. :D

anyway.  It's really cool, that you've gone fox on us.

I honestly dont think you could exceed the cost of a new car buy installing new *stock* parts everywhere in your coug our tbird. Its just plain impossible. You could revamp the entire drivetrain/engine/suspenstion and still come out ahead.

Hey Claude, I was just noticing...do you have any grey stripes on the lower part of your car? It's hard to tell in the photos. Also, you should have a black antenna if it's not power...I've only seen black antennas on XR7's and the Max/SE package cars.

Yes Eric it does.... And it has a black antenna.    Also one thing that looks to be differn't but may not be...  the mirrors are chrome but they arn't chrome all the way to the body.  There is a black ribbed section there....

Black ribbed section is normal for all '87 and '88 Cougars.

hmm, I thought I saw an 87-88 cougar with solid chrome mirrors at my local J-yard.  I will have to double check though.
