Console lid...thin or thick?

That's okay, Brent...I have a factory 1984 XR7 console with a tall Oxford Grey lid. So there. :P

When I mentioned "leather" it was because that's what I did with mine...vinyl is certainly something to consider for recovering. As for factory style, I've run across nothing but leather. My guess is that the leather console lid matches a leather-wrapped wheel and/or shifter. Then again, I don't see many later non-TC/XR7 cars with the console in the boneyards, so I can't compare with anything. But anyway..."leather" was my generic term. ;)

I've only had the tall lids in mine, Pretty comfortable and sturdy.

I'm was thinking of getting a flat lid and painting it black for looks, but apparently they don't hold up very well. :flame:
