Removing steering wheel center cover

Anybody know how to get the center of the steering wheel off without breaking it. I am going to the JY and i need a new steering wheel but i have never been able to get the center pad off without breaking it.

Thanks

To get the pad off just push it in, twist, and it pops right out :hick:

Well it turned out the steering wheel wasnt in that good of shape but now i know how to remove the horn pad atleast.

Thanks Guys

Hey Vinnie, Did you still need the trim with the cutouts for the cornering lights? The right side one on the car i posted the pic of was broke and the only other ones had overspray on them. There were 2 cars that had them but i didn't check the ones with overspray to see if they were broken.

I used to consider disconnecting the battery before removing the horn pad. I hated having to blast the horn in the driveway for some reason. Of course, I used to mess around with steering wheels all the time. Not so much these days. :wtf:
