Tbird Is Sick

I dont really know what the problem is with the bird but ill list the symptoms:

When its cold out the car wont start, ill have to jump it and after a few times of cranking it will finally start. The car is even hard to start when im jumping the car as well. Also, when i get it running the car will act like a carb car. Ill have to give it a little gas in order to get the car to keep running. This is an 87 with EFI. Also, when i drive the car it will jerk at times but not all the time.  I WOULD APPRECIATE IT if someone could post kinda quick because this is my daily. THANKS

Is there water in your gas? i'm marginally better with carbs so this is just an educated guess, pour in a bottle of gas line antifreze.

This is more or less exactly what mine is doing now. A lot of it has to with it being so cold. I think the problem is based (this is my personal opinion but someone may verify) on the fact that you battery isn't up to snuff for the winter (cold cranking amps). Does the car start easier after its been driven for a while and shut off? Someone has stated this before, or I may have read it on coolcats.net, but our vehicles require every ounce of juice just to start. There was another post recently about a battery freezing and not start a snow blower, so the same general ty applies. Gunning the engine helps charge the battery up and is why it seems like your car is acting like it's carburated. So your battery may be showing it age, or you may want to get a better battery with more cold cranking amps.

Well when cold its always harder on the battery to start,
B4 u go blaming battery try checking battery cables and see if there corroded.
Check everywere u can get to as well.
9 times out of 10 when a car comes in a shop with battery prob its not the battery,
Shops sell a new battery and clean wires or show u corroded wires and sell u them too.
Most of the time the fix was to clean the battery terminals or even tighten them and would have been good to go.
