My day.

This car is F-U-N-N!!! I took a chance and drove the TC to work today. I nearly regretted my decision as soon as I hit the expressway. Bumper-2-bumper. I completely forgot what it's like to drive a 5-speed in slow-ass traffic. But I soon realized one thing. I could SEE!!! That  Focus has so many blinds spots I'm scared to change lanes without checking 3-4 times. My fiance's Honda is even worse. I also realized the nice little power increase I had over the econoboxes so I can jump into an open lane without having to floor it. It's also very nice to have a set of brakes that work. This thing stops on a dime! I recommend the 11-inch dual piston setup to anyone on a budget. Best brakes I've ever had. Nice! Did mention nice? :D

I took my buddy with the Golf for a ride on my lunch break and he was very impressed with the power. And so am I. The turbo spools almost immediately.  I can actually build about ~10psi in first now. Before with the IHI and the stock E6 and ler/cat delete it seemed to barely build any boost at all. First gear was worthless. And let's not forget the BPV. I'm glad I didn't go with the BOV, this thing is loud enough. One thing I need to change about my driving habits is not to hold the throttle steady after accelerating. The BPV opens and closes repeatedly until I let off. No biggie.

I did have a couple incidents though. The car kept dying from the idle hunting. Couple turns of the idle speed screw seemed to have fixed it. Not sure how the idle changed that much on it's own though. Then the car wouldn't start. Apparently my starter power wire connection came loose. Tighten her up and she fired right up. I hit a big bump and took out another chunk of my front tires. Need to get those 235s and dial in some more camber ASAP!

But everthing else is rockin! I mean nice.

Right now I kinda afraid to do anything else to it. It's running perfect. I still need to install the cam gear and a few electrical doo-dads and it's complete.

I'm still at work and I can't wait for the ride home. :D

Happy Day!

Ive run 25 on stock injectors with no issue.

Keep it at 20, the the gains from the extra 5-psi arnt worth it.
It's Gumby's fault.

I'm running about 18-19psi right now. Kinda hard to pay attention to that little needle right now. :)
