Kinda depressing considering I don't even know where the next closest one is at. At least this one was only about 5 miles away (close enough to hear the cars on top fuel nights, though). Meh. Some investment group for condos or some BS.PIR had a NASTY auto-cross crash a few weeks ago. 100% the race stewards fault (SCCA volunteer) but the track was taking heat (4 totaled cars including a Porsche GT3). City Council stepped up and said no way is the track leaving, it makes WAAAYYY too much money (City of Portland ows the track). PIR is how a track SHOULD be run, period. Quote Selected

They are actually expanding trying to get a true IHRA national event, they already have a pro-am event, and now have the barcket finals this year. We are never safe from this kind of stuff, but spending big money on expansion seems to be a good sign.
