The lakes didn't freeze at all last year, and the whole winter may have produced 2 inches of snow. This year they just opened up about a week ago. This winter was also relatively snow-less, and December and early January were crazy warm (it was almost 70 degrees on Christmas) too, but it was cold from mid January until, well, now.As for snowmobiles - I absolutely refuse to ride a snowmobile in April.
