Sport Coupe

I have the oppurtunity at a 88 Sport, White on Charcoal cloth, loaded except leather/moonroof. For $300, has a no-start issue and 130K miles. Should I?

I have to go look at it still. The pics make it look like it's pretty nice. The interior looks near mint. It would be fun to have a 5.0 again, I kinda miss my Cougar...

A while back you were downsizing due to space constraints.  Not the case anymore?

I would love to have an 88 sport myself.

I downsized enough :hick: I have an empty space so it's OK. I kinda miss the Silver-Blue TC, but in all honesty I owned the car for 2 years and never touched it. I need a running car to keep me interested in it (except Layla). And yes, speaking of her, the head is done and here. As soon as I finish my office (ugh) it's build-up time.

I wouldn't unless you have a parts TC.

With a TC suspension/brakes and rear end along with an HO conversion you could build the Sport that Ford should have (Of course you already know this).

At least the 88 has an buttstuffog cluster.

Get it...then send it this way.  I haven't seen a 5.0 87-88 Cat or Bird around me since before I bought the Grand Prix....and I was going to buy said Cat but time ran out and I didn't have a trailer....grrr.

I love my '88 Sport.Get it.If the interior is mint and you end up parting it out, you'll make a profit.I'm building mine the way Ford should have.I have a few surprises for everyone when I'm done. There are going to be some cool visual changes, and all with Ford part numbers.

An 88 Sport with mint interior?  $300?  Are you nuts?  You should've gotten it last week!  I loooove my Sport...such a smooth ride, 5.0 power (now with an HO, even better), very comfy interior...
