Rear shock adapter brackets Reply #50 – November 29, 2007, 09:06:15 AM I have not seen this asked before, will they still be required on an 8.8 from a Mustang swapped into an 85? Quote Selected
Rear shock adapter brackets Reply #51 – November 29, 2007, 09:49:33 AM They are used when you are trying to use any Mustang shocks (which are shorter) on a Tbird/Cougar. The axle makes no difference, it depends on what shocks you are wanting to use. Quote Selected

Rear shock adapter brackets Reply #54 – December 03, 2007, 01:14:16 PM Changed my mind Chuck, I will take a set but it needs to wait till this friday 12/7 as I have too much $ going out already this week. Those Stang springs are just too low, I got stuck on a branch in the road yesterday, (about 3"-4" diameter and 1 foot long) and drug it about 50ft down the road, so I'm going to go back to the bird springs. yea, yea.. you told me so! :flip: I'll paypal ya friday Quote Selected

Rear shock adapter brackets Reply #56 – December 07, 2007, 08:12:50 PM I currently have a Mustang 7.5 under my project TC, and I'm considering using it until I get a better one built. I also plan on using 94-04 mustang lowering springs in the rear, Probably bite the bullet on CHE's or something similar. Would I still benefit using your shock adapters? Would the lowering of the rear eliminate the need? Quote Selected
Rear shock adapter brackets Reply #57 – December 07, 2007, 08:22:27 PM Unless you plan on lowering the car 3", the Mustang shocks are going to be too short. Quote Selected
