We got 5-6" snow Tues night, then 1/4-1/2" sleet ice, then another 4" of snow last night...on top of the 7" we got last week that hasn't melted.  I have no more room to put snow....I took a couple pics.  I'll post them up when I get back to the house.

Yeah we got it pretty good, it can be pretty scary driving a TC with all season tires and no weight in the trunk over a road riddled with foot high drifts, but somehow it gets its way through it all.  I think I would be screwed if it was a pegleg.

My buddy made the mistake of driving his grand am down a backroad that was pretty much a constant foot-plus of snow. Packed the front of his engine bay up pretty good.

hey 20th anny dude how is central ave? My girlfriend has an MRI scheduled at toledo hosp...

Whats that???  Oh the Canadians are laughing at us.

I'm still waiting to see pics of a "Blizzard" :D Cripes, you guys get a foot of snow and it's the end of the world. Ya don't even have to be Canadian to know a REAL blizzard, though - How 'bout upstate NY?

Anyway, I'm sure you've seen my blizzard of '04 pics - this blizzard dumped 95.5 cm (39") of snow in less than 24 hours, driven by 120km/hr (75mph) winds. If you haven't, here's a quick review (this is really gonna hurt, I'm back to dialup):

THIS is a buried Thunderbird:

And this is a buried Malibu (if you look closely you can barely make out a bit of the buried minivan across the street, next to the house furthest to the left):

I believe somebody mentioned snow being packed into an engine bay... well, the WIND did this - the car had not moved. I started it and it was strangely silent, so I opened the hood and found this:

This was when I started the cleanup, halfway through the storm:

Didn't do much good, though, as the snow just piled back in (note the garbage bin):

Dog's gotta poop, but he's gonna have to hold it a bit longer:

It took three days for the road to be plowed:

Note the tow truck in the pic below - this is why we were lucky enough to be plowed within three days. The mounties wanted that tow truck on the road:

...And when they did finally plow it, the snow banks were enormous. Enough to dwarf my father's Explorer:

So, um, yeah. THAT'S a blizzard! :hick:
