Oo, I thought maybe she had got another car. i say cut them, im sure it will look better then whats on it.

I welcomed the dark side and currently am driving a 2000 Dodge Durango SLT plus, with a 5.9, Code named project "Night Runner"
Shes black on black, fully loaded, with headers, 180 tstat, e fan, straight exhaust into a cherry bomb vortex ler, full tune up, ported intake and T/B, MSD coil, and round aircleaner.
Mods to come: Fully rebuilt and heavily modded 46RE, and a richmond rachet locker.

I want her to drive the car so she can tell me wether or not she likes it. If she doesn't, ( I hope she does like the car), then I will look for a Taurus for her and I WILL find a place to put the MK VII untill I can do a 460 conversion on it.

Screww the luxury!  I want a HOT ROD LINCOLN!

Those MK VIIs looked cool new, and still look cool to me.

Hard to find any nice ones any more.

yea i like those. Theres one sitten a street over from my house, but its up on stands, and doesn't look to healthy. Should go ask what is going on with it, but theres no point, my mom already told me once i sell the last car i got, i can't get another one unless its the stang, thats the only thing shes gonna let me keep in the yard. Wish i had a garage an a bigger yard, id have me a few cars already.

Be careful.

You might end up like me and have cars every where and not enough time to work on them.

But you know something, I absolutely love working on these old cars and would not trade them all for one brand new one!!  No way.:D

which is why i will never get rid of my mustang. Well im the type of person taht find s good deal grabs it fixed it and sells it. I have a 93 escort in my driveway i got for free, put 250 in it, and it runs perfect, drives awesome, had has 4 new tires that were one it when i got it. So hopefully im looking for 850 out of it now to fund my stang. next car i get will be either a 2.3 ranger for a 2.3t swap, or a another thunderbird.

It stays indoors.

Now for a pic of what used to be.

This 93 F-350 4 wheel drive I had a love/hate relationship with.

It had the very py diesiel. (of the non-turbo variety) ( here is the hate part)

I will never own another diesiel.

I just wish it had a 460 gas guzzler instead. Then I would have kept it.

Looked awesome tho! (This is the love part)-Rode nice. Big Dana 60 up front with a E_Z lift kit.

Sold it after I got the Lightning.

No regrets except I will never compromise again and get something that looks great but has the wrong engine!

never another huh. My grandfather just got a chevy 3500 hd duramax, with the allison trans, fully loaded, 3/4 ton. I usually don't like chevys but when you nail that thing, holy shiznit it spools up that turbo and it MOVES. He wound it up from 60 to 100 in no time, suprised the shiznit out of me. Only problem is its sooooo long. And he made me drive it down fouwheeler trails:hick:  that were not ment for a truck never mind one that big. and i think i mastered the 38 point turn, and im not exaggerating.

Yea, you are probably right. I suppose if a great deal on a 95-97 Powerstroke came along, I would probably think about it.

All I know is , if you buy a diesel, make sure it has a turbo on it.

460's are cheaper to rebuild than diesels, so that is also a big plus for guys like us that have to work on our own vehicles.

If you haven't driven a MK VII, you will love it! The one we have I love to drive, especially knowing it has the Mustang 5.0 H.O. (plenty of power) and gets great mileage.
I believe the 87-90 had forged pistons and a 75 shot of nitrous is no problem for these engines.:D

If it is in good condition, buy it!

The MK VII values are going back up, especially the nice ones.

Here is a pic of my "old" race car.

79 Fairmont, 460, C-6, 8.8 3.73 gears.

Car was great except for carbon monoxide problems. Too many rust holes in the floorboards and the exhaust exited before the axle so I took in  alot of exhaust in the lungs.

Sold it in Nov. 2004

Bought it 3 times. Car was nicknamed "BOOMERANG" because it kept coming back. Only car I have bought more than once.

It was fun, but the 460 Turbocoupe is a world of difference in ride quality and looks.
